PDF Template Packages

When you choose to upload your own design, you’ll receive a downloadable ZIP package for the mailer format you've selected. Each format has a ready-to-use direct mail design template with safe zones, trim lines, and bleed.

Each ZIP includes:

1. Spec Sheet: Instructions, tips and layout details, outlining how to use the template.

2. PNG Template: Transparent layout with trim, bleed, and postage zones (for use in any editor)

3. Illustrator Template (.AI)

4. InDesign Template (.IDML)

All templates include a 0.125" bleed and a clearly marked postal address zone — this area must be left blank for automatic address generation.

Design checklist before uploading

To ensure your design meets postal and print requirements:

• ✅ Colors are set to CMYK settings to avoid print color isssues

• ✅ All text is proofread

• ✅ QR code is working and accurate

• ✅ Images are 300 DPI or higher (print quality)

• ✅ All guides, address placeholders, and mockups are removed

• ✅ Final artwork is exported as a single PDF (front and back in one file)

• ✅ Export includes crop marks and bleed

• ✅ Font files are ready to share

SnapCapture Disclaimer (required for Addressed Acquisition)

If you’re running an Addressed Acquisition campaign (targeting new prospects), your design must include a legal opt-in disclaimer for SnapCapture. Be sure to include this text on the same side as the QR code.

You do not need to include this for retention campaigns (SmartMailers or CSV uploads).

Copy and paste the following disclaimer into your design:

By scanning this QR Code and receiving this offer, you consent to receive electronic communications from [Company Name]. This may include promotional materials and other relevant updates. To learn more, unsubscribe, or adjust communication preferences, review the terms of service and privacy policy at bit.ly/qrterms.

Be sure to upload [Company Name] to your company's legal name.

Personalization and QR Codes

Personalizing with first name

To personalize postcards with a recipient’s name, include the tag:

[First_Name]

This will dynamically populate on each printed mailer. Example:

"Hey [First_Name], here’s something just for you."

Custom trackable QR codes

In Campaign Settings, during setup, you will choose the destination for your campaign's QR code. We will automatically generate a unique, trackable QR for each recipient.

When you upload your design PDF, just include a placeholder for the QR code — we’ll take care of replacing it with the personalized version for every recipient.
